'Type' drop-down when searching issues shows a (random?) selection of issue types

When searching for issues, you can filter by issue type. We have several different types in our project, so only a selection is shown from the drop down without clicking on 'Show full list':

How does Jira pick which issue types to display here?

The issue is that tasks are our most common issue type (along with bugs) and I always have to type 'task' to select it from the list. We barely ever use 'Analytics Request' or 'Change Request' so it's not picking from our most-used types.
